weeked fun with my boy

thanks for your thoughts and comments last week. i truly appreciate it. i know i've made the right choice, i just needed a little reassurance!

the weekend was wonderful. the by and i spent a ton of quality time together and i needed it! i have missed him. law school sucks away so much of his time and i get quite busy with work and my volunteer pursuits so we can go a week without having a real conversation.

friday night, we played scrabble. that may not sound exciting, but scrabble is a big deal in my family. all out wars have started over scrabble outcomes.

on saturday, the boy and i went on a free date to the national portrait gallery. one of the things that i love about my husband is that he truly is a renaissance man. he's a athlete, a thinker, a comedian, and an artist. there aren't a lot of former varsity basketball players that want to spend a day in a museum and talk about paintings! we had a blast. then, we hit up safeway (for the cheap groceries) and whole foods (for the yuppie stuff) and cooked dinner together. after dinner, we walked down the street to the northerner's house to hang out. her husband is awesome and we sufficiently freaked the boy out with talk about babies. no, neither of us is pregnant, but we like to talk babies.

sunday, we went our separate ways all day, but planned a date to cook dinner and watch the 2 hour brothers and sisters episode. a perfect way to end a weekend with my hubs. and, he did all the dishes, all weekend long. lucky me!

I feel bad for laughing because I read the title of the post and then the next sentence that catches my eye is "we played scrabble"

Ohh and in regards to your previous posts you are so not a sell out and it's hard enough to afford living in this area as it is you might as well love your job and make more money!! Sometimes DC people are a little to rough on each other when it comes to job comparison!
