faux fur and spray paint, a typical weekend around these parts!

the boy and i went out to dinner with some friends on saturday night. it was restaurant week and we'd never been to zentan, so we were excited to try it. i was excited that zentan has faux fur pillows in their lobby.  a perfect match for my vest.  the food was delicious and so were the cocktails.

and it wouldn't be normal without another little project. this table, that i got from walmart 3 years ago for $15; started out black in the apartment. then, i spray painted it silver and it moved with us to the house.

after some measuring and cutting

and taping and painting

and a final coat of clear gloss, it turned out like this:

i wonder how many more coats of paint this table will have over its lifetime?

I absolutely adore your table project! It turned out great. :) And you can always sand it down, if you want to redo it again!

That table looks great. I like refinishing stuff from Goodwill - you can get some great deals and turn them into gems.

I'm torn over what to be more impressed by - your fur (that matches the restaurant pillow!) or your chic chevron DIY table! Golf claps all around.
